Beau Welsh

I grew up in Tucson, where I earned a film degree from the University of Arizona – a path that reflected my lifelong interest in storytelling, perspective, and the choices that give stories meaning. In 2010, I moved to Nashville with a guitar and a camera, ready to take on whatever the next chapter had in store. Songwriting and filmmaking taught me that the best work often balances creativity with structure. That blend of art and analysis eventually led me to financial planning, where I found a natural fit in solving complex problems, connecting details, and helping people make thoughtful decisions about what comes next.

In 2019, I joined Burke Financial Group as Director of Planning, a role that allowed me to focus on thoughtful, client-centered planning. To me, a good plan is less about perfectly predicting the future and more about understanding what matters, making intentional choices, and being ready when life inevitably refuses to follow the script.

I’m excited about what we are building at GenFi and the opportunity to create the systems and processes that support our advisors and, most importantly, the clients we serve.

Life at home centers on my amazing wife Cora, and our two sons, Jacob and John. I enjoy coaching baseball, playing golf, making music, or watching a good movie – still paying attention to the stories people choose to tell.
