I have enjoyed jigsaw puzzles for as long as I can remember. As a child, I would spend hours working on them with my dad. It was something we loved doing together, although I know my puzzle-building technique drove him a little crazy. I would simply start wherever my eyes were drawn—usually somewhere in the middle, where the most interesting parts of the puzzle were.

My dad would always remind me that starting with the edges wasn’t just easier; it created the framework for organizing and positioning everything in between.

I’ve come to realize that financial planning works much the same way.

Like a puzzle, your financial life consists of many individual pieces that need to work together to create a complete picture. Often, people already have many of the pieces they need, but they’ve started in the middle. They may have investments, insurance, retirement accounts, or other strategies in place, but lack the framework that connects those pieces to one another and to their goals.

The planning process helps us build those edges. Together, we identify the pieces you already have, determine what may be missing, and work to thoughtfully position each piece to create the picture you want.

For more than 20 years, I have worked in the financial services industry. In 2015, I co-founded Hudson Pendleton Financial Group, a comprehensive wealth management firm. In 2026, we joined forces with Generational Financial Partners, LLC, further expanding our team and the services we are able to provide our clients.

I’m married to my (almost) high school sweetheart, Kelly, and we have three crazy kids—Oliver, Evie, and Mac—who keep us on our toes and on the go. Outside of work, you’ll find me cheering on and coaching my kids, traveling, running, golfing, or catching a Formula 1 race or UGA football game.
